BINI Member Aiah Arceta Seeks Respect for Personal Space After Incident in Cebu

BINI member Aiah Arceta has voiced her hope for greater respect of personal boundaries following a recent incident in Cebu during the group's break after their "BINIverse" concert.

The Nation's Girl Group took a well-deserved break after their triumphant three-day concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, with Arceta choosing to unwind in her hometown of Cebu. However, an unfortunate incident caught on video and widely circulated on social media showed a man appearing to invade Arceta's personal space as she entered a bar with friends.

Addressing the issue through a series of Instagram stories on Sunday, Arceta explained her recent social media absence and expressed gratitude for the support she received during this time. "I appreciate and am grateful to everyone who has been so kind, understanding, and patient with me," she shared. "I am blessed to have people like them, and I hope we can continue to have eyes that can see the good, mouths that can speak what's right, and ears that can listen and understand."

Arceta highlighted the challenges she faces regarding privacy, recounting instances where fans took photos and videos without permission and shared her location on social platforms. "I also want to take this opportunity to speak up about my recent trip to Cebu, where I went home in the hopes of de-stressing, relaxing, and enjoying my time with family and friends," she added.

While expressing appreciation for her fans' enthusiasm and support, Arceta stressed the importance of respecting her personal space. "I enjoy meeting people who share our passion for music and entertainment," she said. "But I hope people also see and respect us as human beings. We have busy schedules, and it's crucial for others to respect our personal time and our humanity."

She concluded with a gentle reminder for fans to be mindful of their words and actions, especially online. "I hope we can fill this world with love, respect, and positivity," Arceta remarked.

Star Magic has since issued a warning urging fans to respect the privacy of their artists, following similar incidents involving other BINI members. ABS-CBN executive Laurenti Dyogi also addressed these concerns, emphasizing the importance of respecting the artists' personal space both in public and private settings.
